Frank grew up in New York and New Jersey. His first musical life revolved around the Goodman Brothers, from duo to sextet form, on both coasts of the U.S. and Europe. They put out two CDs on Taxim Records in Germany, and Crooked Smile got four stars in the German Rolling Stone. In his thirties, Frank played a key role at Mesa/Boogie, the maverick California amp company. He got back into music full time in his forties, played in Europe for a couple of years, and resettled into Nashville as a performing songwriter. He is also the editor and co-founder of the popular webzine Puremusic.com. Frank's first solo album, All The Way Down, was cut with session player pals in Nashville and features his personal brand of pop music with a jazz slant. His new release, Morning Boy, is a spartan showcase of his sinuous guitar style and penetrating songs of love and the lack thereof. |
